UPSIDE DOWN

God’s Grace is Free

 

So this Grace thing is UPSIDE DOWN from the world.  It completely goes against the current the world swims in.  The world says, “You get what your deserve!”  God says, “You deserve death, but I offer life.”  The world says, “You have to go out and earn it.”  God says, “I will give you what you cannot earn.”

 

Now there is nothing wrong with earning your spot on the team, earning a grade you work hard for or earning some money.

 

But there is no earning your way to God!  You cannot earn it by…

being good enough.

by going to church a lot.

by NOT doing bad things.

 

But Jesus lived a perfect life (no sin) and He earned it for You.

 

 

God’s grace is completely free!  You cannot earn your way to God.

 

 

Pray:  God, I love You.  Teach me from Your Word today.

 

Grab your Bible:  Read 2 Corinthians 5:21

 

 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,^[a] so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

 

 

Your step is to believe IN Him.

That is a great trade.  My imperfection for Jesus’ perfection.  WOW!  And we have talked about that.  But, it is not just free one time.  It is free everyday!!!  When you blew it yesterday, God’s grace is free.  When you blow it tomorrow, God’s grace is free.

 

God’s grace is completely free!  You cannot earn your way to God.

 

Prayer:  God, help me to understand, deep down in my heart, that you really have paid for my sin.  You really do accept me just the way I am.  Your grace is free.
