DEEPEN is not a club that offers a motto. DEEPEN is a gathering of students, all growing, all searching for more than our world has offered them.

They face unrelenting questions about their identity, belonging and purpose. DEEPEN aims to come along side students and answer these questions with Biblical teaching.

Identity

Noise bombards from all directions, students need the confidence knowing what God declares over them and about them is true. Students need to sink their teeth into the truths they are created in God’s image and loved for who they are and not what they can do.

Belonging

“No one belongs more than you.”  Community is essential in following Jesus. DEEPEN connects students in small and large groups so they may be encouraged and challenged in their faith.

Our Purpose

Students are uniquely wired and uniquely placed in their world. We pray and teach so students know God’s story and see themselves as a part of what God is doing in the world. Students are not just rescued from something, but they are rescued for something bigger than themselves.

Psalm 145:4 shouts our purpose! Students knowing their identity in Christ, with others, are able to declare what God has done to other students who are desperate to know the truth.

“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.”

Basic Beliefs

These basic doctrines of faith represent what we believe to be core elements of biblical teaching.

God

We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.

Revelation

God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation.

Creation and Providence

We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.

Humanity

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth.

Sin

We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world to shine forth the glory of God.

Resurrection and Consummation of the Kingdom of God

We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.
