GRACE OFFERED
Ok, so let’s start this one a little different. Click on

Grace is the offer of exactly what we do not deserve! (Andy Stanley)
Pray: God, teach me what Your grace is all about.
Grab your Bible: Read Luke 4:18-19.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
19and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
Grace is the offer of exactly what we do not deserve.
Jesus is his hometown. Think about that, he is with the people he grew up with, used to work with and for. He is in the presence of family. And He is teaching that He is the Son of God. Wowzers! That would be a tough sell. Right? And you guessed it, they did not believe Him. But read His purpose for coming again.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
19and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.”
Jesus’ purpose was to come and bring good news and to set prisoners free and help the blind to see. “The time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Favor, undeserved and unearned favor of God. That’s grace!
Grace is the offer of exactly what we do not deserve.
And I want you to hear this really loudly…This grace can only be experienced by those who acknowledge they are undeserving!
So just like the religious leaders of the Jesus’ day and those who thought they had it all together or those who had plenty, if we don’t see our need for Jesus, we are going to miss out!
If you and I didn’t need a rescuer, Jesus would have stayed in heaven and NOT come. But He did and YOU NEED Him.
Prayer: God, help me to see how much I need Your grace in my life! Wow, I really need You!
