Observation.  Know your enemy.  Our enemy’s game plan is to steal, kill and destroy.  He deceived Eve, then Adam.  They doubted God’s Word and questioned God’s goodness.

The consequences were enormous for Adam, Eve, the earth and all who followed after them.  Not only do we see the immediate results of being kicked out of the garden.  We see death.

Read the Romans passage again.  All have sinned (EXCEPT JESUS!)  All deserve death.  Death is the result of sin, both physical death and spiritual separation from God.

“Sin doesn’t make you bad, it makes you dead.”

Application.  The result of doing life without God is life without God.  WOW!  I do not want a dead life.  I want to know God and I want His presence in my life.

You cannot earn it!  God gives you life when you put your trust in Jesus.  Jesus died in our place because we deserved death; He didn’t.  The pivotal moment is up to you.  Will you put your faith in Jesus to be your Lord and Savior (rescuer)?

Prayer.  God, Satan has deceived me.  I have chosen my way over yours.  I am a sinner.  I deserve death.  But your gift is Jesus, who died in my place.  I trust in His perfect life and sacrifice for me.  I want Him to be in control.  Forgive me.  Be my rescuer.
