Observation.  Know your enemy.  Read the Genesis 6 passage.

WHEN TIME ALLOWS, READ PAGE 17 IN THE JESUS BIBLE ENTITLED “SIN.”

1 John 2:15-16 tells us, “Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh, and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life-is not from the Father but is not from Father but is from the world.”

In Genesis 6, we know the people were choosing their immediate gratification over the good that God provided.

Application.  Satan wants you to doubt God’s goodness towards you today.  He wants you to believe that instant gratification is better than what God has in store for you.

Ground yourself in God’s Word.  Do not trust your own heart.  Our own heart desires the stuff of the world and lusts after it.  My heart swells with pride when left unchecked.  Do not trust your heart!!!  Trust God.  The enemy only wants your destruction.

Prayer:  God, I know my heart is deceptive and proud.  Father, let me look up to You.  You are my Father, that wants the best for me.
