Week Six Day Four
Day Four
Scripture: John 10:1-11. J.B. page 1625.
Observation. Jesus is with the same people that were around when He healed the blind beggar. And the beggar had chosen to follow Jesus. That is the backdrop to this passage.
In Jesus’ day, sheep were kept in a walled pen. There was ONE way in and one way out. A gatekeeper protected the entrance/exit. Only the shepherd could come in through the passage way. The sheep were not smart, but they knew the shepherd’s voice. They followed him. They would not follow a stranger. The stranger would have to steal the sheep.
Jesus is the door for the sheep. He is the ONE way to God. While others that come are thieves and robbers. If you go out and come in by Him, you will be saved.
Application. Jesus is the ONE way to have a relationship with God. He is the door. He is the way. WE MUST SHARE THIS MEESAGE WITH OUR FRIENDS. Jesus is the ONE way to God. Trust Him. Trust what He did on the cross to pay for your sins to be enough. You cannot earn your way to heaven. It is through belief in the work Jesus did on the cross. God’s grace, giving us what we do not deserve.
Prayer. Jesus, thank you for being the door, the ONE way to the Father. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins an in my place. I put my faith in You. Your work is enough. I love you.
