Day Three

Scripture: John 5:1-8.  J.B. page 1616-1617.

Observation.  Jesus was back in Jerusalem, a real place with a real history.  Jesus is a historical person who actually lives here on earth. Do not miss that.  God came down and was born as a human and He can relate to all of our trials and temptations.

Jesus is God.

Jesus walks by a pool in the town where the blind, lame, and paralyzed laid.  A man had been there 38 years!  Wow! That is a long time!  And Jesus asks him what deems to be a “duh” question, “Do you want to be healed?

Of course he does!  Jesus tells the lame man to get up, take up his bed and walk.  BOOM!  Right then the man is healed.

Later the healed man is asked about his story.  How were you healed?  And he tells them his story and how Jesus healed him.

Application.  This man had ZERO hope without Jesus.  NADA!  ZILCH!  Just like the dad in yesterday’s story.  Neither do we!  Jesus must come to our rescue!  You gotta put your faith in Jesus!

If you have already, please remember you are still desperate for Jesus!  What circumstance to you need to trust Him with?

Pray, talk to God about your circumstances, be desperate!  Trust Him!  Then tell others what God did for you!

Prayer: “Jesus, I confess you are my ONLY hope!  I trust You.  Just as I can trust you with my salvation, I want to trust you with _____
