PASSION REVIEW #4

 

Coming to faith is coming to a King!  This statement rings loud in my mind and heart.

 

Coming to faith is coming to a King!

 

Jesus is my King.

 

PRAYER:  God, show me what parts of my life where I sit on the throne and do not let you rule.

 

GRAB YOUR BIBLE:  2 Kings 17:33, Joshua 24:15

 They worshiped the Lord, but they also served their own gods in accordance with the customs of the nations from which they had been brought.  2 Kings 17:33

 

¹⁵ But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”Joshua 24:15

 

Jesus sits unrivaled on the throne of thrones.  Yet you decide who sits on the throne of your life. Is it fear, anger, a certain sin or even yourself?  When you believe in Jesus you are trusting Him as your King.

 

Louie talked about how the enemy gives you a skillset of blending in.  The enemy wants you to look like everyone else in the world.  The enemy wants you to have the UBER mentality where you let the world drop you off where THEY want.

 

Jesus is different and You are different.

 

You need to take your cues from the king and not from the world around you.  Get out of the back seat of the UBER and let Jesus lead you.

 

Stand out like a star on a dark night.  Shine bright and hold out the Word of God.

 

PRAYER:  God, You are King.  There is no one like You.  You have no rival.  You sit on the throne of my heart.  And lead me.  Show me things, people or attitudes that I put on the throne of my heart.  I want You to have the rightful place in my life, the throne.  I love You.
