Passion Camp Review #3

The Week After

PASSION REVIEW #3

Sunday night DEEPEN will be discussing the next big step as we desire to reach more students for Jesus and deepen our own walk with Him.

A week ago Wednesday while at Passion Camp, Levi Lesko talked to us about running to the roar.  Two things he discussed with us, TRACTION and PROTECTION.

PRAYER:  God, you are my God whether I am worshipping with 6000 or all alone at home.  You are trustworthy.  You are completely faithful.  You know all about me and I can depend on You.

GRAB YOUR BIBLE:  Ephesians 6:13-16

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

TRACTION – coming from the feet fitted with readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace.

Levi told us that nothing makes you lose your traction more than forgetting your identity.  And what is your identity?  You are love sons and daughters of the king.

Jesus defines who you are!  Don’t look to others to define you.  It is not how many friends you have on social media, it is not the likes or dislikes or smiley emoji’s sent your way that define you.  It is Jesus.

Levi reminded us that  – What you are looking for in the “group” you already have in Jesus!!!

PROTECTION – coming from the shield of faith with which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Protection comes with the shield that is used to block doubt, difficulty.  The Roman shield in Bible days was presoaked leather to put out the flaming arrows.  Our biggest shield that was can have comes from a strong community of believers.  And that is exactly what we hope DEEPEN grows to be.  We want to be a a strong community of students who follow Jesus, love Jesus, and will encourage and stand with one another in life.  That is great protection!

PRAYER:  God, thank you for camp.  Wow, what a week.  Keep reminding me of the truths You taught me.  Help me to believe and trust in You today.
