AMAZING GRACE

You Must Be This Tall

 

Growing up I lived within 30 minutes of Six Flags over Texas.  My two older brothers both worked at the amusement park and I loved going to ride the rollercoasters.  I would invite a friend and ride to Six Flags with one of my brothers and we would spend the day going from roller coaster to roller coaster.  Fun stuff.

 

But when I was younger, that was not always the case.  Do you remember the height measurements at the beginning of the line?  It stated, “You must be THIS tall to ride this ride.”  Well…I was never going to be a center (or anything else) in the NBA.  But when I was younger, my height kept me from a lot of roller coasters.  I would stretch and get on my toes, and wear hats to be the minimum height.  It was a good day when I was tall enough, then I could ride all day long.

 

I was tall enough, so nothing was stopping me now!

 

You are saved by grace, so nothing is stopping you now!

 

 

Pray: “God, You saved me by grace when I believed.  So take me and use me like crazy.” 

 

Grab Your Bible:  Read Ephesians 2:8-10 & 2 Corinthians 5:13-15.

 

 ^“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. ⁹ Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. ¹⁰ For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”  Ephesians 2

 

“If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. ¹⁴ Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. ¹⁵ He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.”    2 Corinthians 5

 

So You believed in Jesus, sweet!  You have received His grace and forgiveness, nice.  And you are a brand new person – Believe it!  Now what?

You have are now tall enough to ride this ride!  Hahaha

Look at these verses.

1. You were created to DO good things that God planned for you long ago.
2. Be crazy, in your right mind, and live for Christ because it is His love that compels you.

God has saved you by his grace if you have believed in Him.  Know that God calls you to live a life that brings glory to God.  He created you for that!

You are saved by grace, so nothing is stopping you now! 

Prayer:  God, thank you for saving me.  Let me be completely motivated by Your love to reach others.  I want to honor You by turning my world upside down.
