NO BOUNDARIES GRACE

AMAZING GRACE

No Boundaries Grace

Remember David and Goliath?  That happened over 1000 years before Jesus walked the earth.  But even then we see huge evidence of the grace of God.

So this same David who defeated Goliath, becomes King of Israel.  King David as everything he could ever want…right?  Except for Uriah’s wife.  Uriah was an officer in King David’s army and he was off at war for the king.  Meanwhile, back in Jerusalem, David steals Uriah’s wife as his own and has Uriah killed.

King David becomes a wife thief and a murderer!  Not good!

But this story was never really about David.  This is about God’s unfailing love.  This was and always had been a story of grace. Grace that has no limits. (Andy Stanley).

Grace knows no boundaries.  Grace has no limits.  Grace is greater than all your sin.

Pray: “God, the true story of You in the Bible all points to You.  Help me to see and know more and more about your unlimited grace for me.

Grab Your Bible:  2 Samuel 7:11-16.  This is written about David, before he messes up big time!

“‘Furthermore, the Lord declares that he will make a house for you—a dynasty of kings!12 For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong. 13 He is the one who will build a house—a temple—for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do. 15 But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight. 16 Your house and your kingdom will continue before me[a] for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”

Ok, God knows before time that David will steal Uriah’s wife and have him murdered.  Yet, God still makes this promise to King David. King David will be a dynasty of kings.  He will make David’s name famous.

I always thought that if I did something wrong, God looked down on me.  NOT TRUE!  If you have believed in Jesus as God’s son and trusted in Him, you are NOT condemned.

Please know, there were still Big consequences for David’s sin.  Grace doesn’t mean no consequences.  Grace means no condemnation!  There is a big difference.

If God knew David’s murder and still chose to love him, that means that God loves me.  He really loves and accepts me just the way I am.  He knows my sin and have exchanged it for the righteousness of Jesus.  BOOM!  That’s a huge deal.

Grace knows no boundaries.  Grace has no limits.  Grace is greater than all your sin.

Prayer:  God, thank you that you know all about me, even my sin from my future, and still love me.
