A Change In Weather
UPSIDE DOWN
A Change in The Weather
Hey guys, sorry it took too long to get these going after Christmas break! I hope you are doing great!!! By the way, Passion Camp is on the way! Don’t miss it!
Do you ever check the weather forecast? Perhaps you do before an important event. I know I look at it getting ready for Sundays at the Post. I want the weather to be just right. When it is not, I find myself wishing I could change the weather. Like, I wish I could make it snow here one time a year, about a foot! I would get out build an enormous snowman, make snow angels, go sledding and get in a snowball fight.
Did you know Jesus actually changed the weather one time.
Pray: Father God, I love you. I know these stories about Jesus are true. Jesus was God in human form. I cannot comprehend, but help me to get to know you a little better.
Grab Your Bible: Read Matthew 87:23-27 in your Bible. If you got one at the Christmas party, it is on page 739.
Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”
Can you imagine being in the boat? Wow! I am pretty sure I would ask the same question the disciples asked, “Who is this man?” Even though they had been hanging out with Jesus a little while by now, and they witnessed all sorts of healings. THIS was different. Jesus caused the storm to disappear! Who can do something like that? Jesus, God in human form. He came to turn this world upside down.
Prayer: God, I love you. Show me more about who you are and how good you are. I want to know you more and more.
